  Mrs. Annie Hagans Shaffer, 93, Sanford, Fla., formerly of Stoystown
  RD 2, died Oct. 20, 1987, in Sanford.  Born March 4, 1894, in Shade
  Township, daughter of John and Sarah Ester (Pebley) Croyle.  Preceded
  in death by parents; husbands: Russell Hagans and Simon Shaffer;
  daughters: Eva Tasker and Dorthea Hagans; son, John Homer Hagans;
  grandson, Timothy Tasker; four brothers and a sister.  Survived by
  these children: Mrs. William (Ethel) Berringer, Deland, Fla.; Melvin,
  married to the former Betty Wilkie, Chambersburg; Telford, married to
  the former Juanita Geary, Stoystown RD 2; Mrs. Leonard (Ruth)
  Giddens, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and Ronald, Hollsopple RD 2; 16
  grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.  Member of the First Assembly
  of God Church, DeBary, Fla., and formerly attended the Kantner
  Assembly of God Church.  Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the
  Rev. Clarence Spencer officiating.  Interment, Otterbein Cemetery.
