  Arlene V. Shaffer, 60, Friedens RD 1, died Jan. 30 in Presbyterian
  University Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Feb. 19, 1927 in Quemahoning
  Township, daughter of the late Earl Webster and Minnie M. (Yoder)
  Miller.  Preceded in death by two brothers, Dalton and Dean and two
  sisters, Magdalene Trent and Ruth Clark.  Survived by husband, Lewis
  C. Shaffer, and daughter, Mrs. Kurt M. (Lucinda) Walker of Somerset
  RD 2.  Sister of Paul B. Miller Sr. and Ray W. Miller, both of
  Friedens RD 2.  Former employee of Somerset Shirt and Pajama
  Company.  Member of Friedens United Church of Christ and American
  Legion Post 181 Auxiliary.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service
  will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday.  Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Family
  requests memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation of
  W.Pa., 130 Seventh St., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15222.
