  SHAFFER
  
    Betty J. Shaffer, 66, of Champion died March 22, 2001, at St.
  Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Born May 5, 1934 in Somerset, she is
  the daughter of the late Simone R. Weaver and Sarah (Pile) Weaver of
  Glencoe.  Also preceded in death by son Hubert Shaffer Jr. and a
  sister Peggy Baker.  Besides her mother, she is survived by husband
  Hubert Shaffer Sr., children, Richard A. Shaffer married to the
  former Debora Pritts of Champion and Mrs. Roger (Cindy) Seifert of
  Quecreek, and grandchildren Mrs. Ronald (Lisa) Mostoller, Joshua
  Seifert, Travis Shaffer and Nathan Seifert.  Member of St. Paul's
  United Church of Christ.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
  and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday,
  Rev. Joseph Onder officiating.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery,
  Glencoe.  Contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Church in care of
  Joseph Onder, 336 Main St., Meyersdale, Pa. 15552.
