  MRS. DAVID SHAFFER
  
    Mrs. Blanche M. Shaffer, 79, died April 11 at Lancaster General
  Hospital.
    Born May 3, 1897, at Fairhope RD 1, she was the daughter of the
  late Henry Browning and Katie (Kiser) Browning.
    She was a member of Hyndman United Methodist Church, its Women's
  Society and Hyndman Grange.
    Surviving are her husband, David Shaffer; two sons, William
  Crawford, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Donovon Shaffer, Lititz; two daughters,
  Mary Gibson, Lancaster; Shirley Beck, Arlington, Va.; four sisters,
  Mattie Hartman, Jeanette; Ella Smith, Fairhope RD 1; Ruth Clites,
  Manns Choice RD 1, and Bertha Shaw, East Freedom; nine grandchildren
  and 10 great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Zeigler Funeral Home.
    A service was conducted with Rev. Willard White officiating. 
  Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
