    Clair E. Shaffer, 62, Listie, died Jan. 13, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 7,
  1943, in Thomasdale, son of Lester Sr. and Ruth (Speicher) Shaffer. Preceded in death by
  parents; son, Craig E., March 3, 1990; infant brother, Harold; and brother, Lester.
  Survived by wife of 40 years, former Patricia M. Miller; sons, Matthew S., and his
  girl-friend, Brenda Baird and her children, Jeromie and Nicholas; and Chad, and partner,
  Clint Reckart; grandchildren, Joy and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, Morgan,
  Casey and Montana, all of Listie; sister, Stella, married to Paul Edmiston, Boswell RD;
  brothers, John, married to the former Patsy Hay, Jerome, and Zane, married to the former
  Barbara Joye, Stafford, Va.; and sister-in-law, Mary (Lawrence) Shaffer, Miami, Fla.
  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A 1961 graduate of former JBJ Joint High
  School, Boswell. Employed by Thomas Feed Mill, Thomas Mills, for over 40 years. Avid
  bowler, having belonged to several bowling leagues in Jerome. Enjoyed gardening and
  planting flowers. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and noon until time of
  service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St.,
  Boswell. The Rev. Ronzil Jarvis officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery, Somerset.
