Dwight "Keki" Shaffer Sr., 75, 345 Weigle St., Hooversville, died June 22, 1983, at Windber Hospital. Born Feb. 25, 1908, in Hooversville, son of Daniel and Bertha J. (Hamer) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Verna, Erma Jackson and Helen Wagner; and brother, Harold G. Survived by his widow, the former Tillie Bohn, and these children, Daniel Dwight Jr., married to Ann Hadesty, Everett; Mrs. David Lynn (Karen) Barnhart, South Williamsport; and these grandchildren, Daniel D. III, John H., and Susan and Jonathan Barnhart. Brother of Miss Frances, Earl Warren Sr., and Blanche, all of Hooversville. His death ends a marriage union of 53 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville; Hooversville Game Protector's Association; life member of the Hooversville Volunteer Fire Department; and was associated with Daniel Shaffer's Inc. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Gerald L. Myers and the Rev. Alan Wilson officiating. Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. If friends desire, instead of flowers, contributions may be made to the Windber Hospice. Daily American, June 24, 1983 [S0865]
