  SHAFFER
  
    David C. Shaffer, 77, Latrobe, died Sunday, July 3, 1994, at
  Latrobe Area Hospital.  Born Aug. 1, 1916 in Stoystown, son of the
  late Webster O. and Hazel Shaffer.  Preceded in death by wife, Helen
  J. (Dinning) Shaffer; son, David J., and brother, William.  Survived
  by sons: Timothy C., Colorado Springs, Colo.; Donald L., Loyalhanna,
  and James O., Latrobe; daughters: Mrs. Maurice (Constance) Vacha,
  Latrobe, and Mrs. John (Marsha) Findle, Greensburg; sisters: Mrs. Jim
  (LaVerne) Friedline and Betty Brallier, both of Somerset; also eight
  grandchildren.  Member of First Church of God, Latrobe.  Retired from
  K. Castings, Latrobe.  Visitation was held form 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at
  the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., where service was held at 10
  a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Douglas Show.  Interment, Odd Fellows
  Cemetery, Stoystown.
