  Dorsie G. Shaffer, 93, Siemon Nursing Home, formerly of Somerset RD
  2, died June 9, 1984, in Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 10,
  1890, in Westmoreland County, son of George Dorsie and Ada (Hauger)
  Miller-Shaffer.  Preceded in death by wife, Maude (Ash) Shaffer, who
  died Oct. 2, 1980; and a sister, Laura Miller.  Survived by these
  children: Glenn H., Suitland, Md.; Ferne E. Swank, Somerset RD 3;
  Ruth, wife of John W. Sarver, Somerset RD 2; Thelma E., wife of
  Robert Larson and Wayne R., both of McKees Rocks, Pa.; sister, Bertha
  Mognet, Bakersville; also 17 grandchildren and 15
  great-grandchildren.  Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church,
  Bakersville.  Retired coal miner.  Friends are being received in
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at
  1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Pastor Walter Startzel officiating.  Interment,
  Bakersville Cemetery.
