  E. Geraldine "Gerry" (Felix) Shaffer, 76, Rolling Hill Road, Jenner
  Township, died June 1, 2004, at home.  Born Jan. 12, 1928, in
  Johnstown, daughter of Bert and Arvilla (Hess) Felix.  Preceded in
  death by parents; sisters, Jane, Helen, Arvilla and Arletta; and
  brothers; Clifford and Lester.  Survived by husband of 55 years, Lee
  J. Shaffer; children, Elaine, married to Dennis Merringer, Jenner
  Township; William W., married to Debbie Fortini, Jerome; and Joyce,
  married to Mike Farrell, Berlin; grandchildren, Brett Merringer, John
  McKelvey, Colleen Zaikov and Michelle Zivaljevik; great-grandchildren,
  Jordan and Andie Zaikov, and sisters, Florence, married to John Lonas,
  Avon Lake, Ohio and Bess, married to George DeCoske, Sheffield Lake,
  Ohio.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
  Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown,
  and the ILGWU. Past member of the former St. James Lutheran Church,
  where she taught Sunday school for 20 years.  Retired employee of the
  former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory with approximately 19
  years service.  Gerry was a kind and gracious lady who touched many
  lives by always doing for others.  Friends received from 3 to 8 p.m.
  Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  Viewing
  also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at
  Laurel Trinity Church.  The Rev. Jacquelyn S. Ahern officiating.
  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers,
  memorials may be given to "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 North Center Ave.,
  Somerset, Pa. 15501 or to Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Box 185,
  Jennerstown, Pa. 15547.
