  SHAFFER
  
  Edward I. Shaffer, 78, of Boswell RD 3, died June 1, 1981, at home. 
  Born April 25, 1903, in Jenner Township, Somerset County.  He is the
  son of Russell E. and Marian (Friedline) Shaffer.  Preceded in death
  by parents; son, Dr. Edward R., who died Jan. 7, 1967; and sister,
  Mabel Myers.  Survived by widow, former Sarah Greenshields; daughter,
  Marilyn Bunch, Johnstown; daughter-in-law, June Shaffer, Boswell;
  three grandchildren: Janell Shaffer-Yoder, Jacksonville, Fla.; Edward
  J. Shaffer, Boswell; and Janice Lynn Bunch, Johnstown.  Brother of:
  Mrs. Leora Bowers, Johnstown, and Richard, Boswell RD 3.  Affiliated
  with Covenant Presbyterian Church, Boswell.  Taxidermist in the
  Boswell area since 1928.  He celebrated 58th wedding anniversary Feb.
  25, 1981.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will
  be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.  The Rev. W. James Legge will
  officiate.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
