  SHAFFER
  
  Mrs. Elda Mae Shaffer, 79, of 504 South Edgewood Ave., Somerset, died
  Dec. 10, 1974 in Somerset Community Hospital.  She was born Oct. 7,
  1895 in Bakersville, a daughter of the late Milton and Sadie Mognet
  Knepper.  Preceded in death by a son Lehman, one brother George and a
  sister Minnie.  Survived by her husband Earl S.; two sisters, Mrs.
  William C. James and Mrs. Bessie Watson, both of Somerset; one
  grandson James Shaffer and two great-grandchildren, Kelly Lynn and
  David Shaffer.  Member of Grace Methodist Church of Somerset. 
  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilbur D.
  Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Friday
  at 2 p.m. with the Rev. C. L. Rummel officiating.  Interment, St.
  John's Cemetery.
