  SHAFFER
  
  Ethel L. Shaffer, 73, North Street, Berlin, died May 29, 1988 at her
  residence.  Born Sept. 21, 1914 in Cairnbrook, daughter of the late
  George and Annie (Hutzell) Rose.  Preceded by son, Timothy Shaffer,
  two grandchildren, Denny and Judy Shaffer, three brothers, George,
  William and Glen, and three sisters, Dorothy Kish, Vida Gindlesperger
  and Bessie Bell.  Survived by husband, Roy M. Shaffer, son Terry G.,
  Berlin, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Retired
  LPN at Maple Mountain Manor.  Member of Rummel Church of the
  Brethren, Windber.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday
  (today) at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held at
  1 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Ronald R. Fleming officiating.  Interment,
  Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Johnstown.
