  SHAFFER
  
  Fred E. Shaffer, 55, of Sipesville, died Aug. 18, 1974, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 1, 1918, in Hooversville, a son of the
  late Homer and Jennie (Gindlesperger) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by
  three brothers, Robert, Paul and an infant brother.  Survived by his
  widow, the former Myra Shaffer, two sons:  Gregory and Douglas, both
  at home.  These brothers and sisters:  Roy, Mrs. Kyle (Verna) Boyer,
  and Donald, all of Hooversville; John of Stoystown RD 1; Mrs. Wade
  (Lois) Litzinger of Johnstown; Mrs. Shimer (Helen) Darr of
  Washington, Pa.; Carl (Bud) of Canton, Ohio; and Mrs. Kenneth
  (Myrtle) Zimmerman of Sipesville.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran
  Church of Stoystown and Sipesville Volunteer Fire Department. 
  Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home
  where services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.
  Herbert G. Hohman officiating.  interment, Stoystown IOOF Cemetery.
