  Mrs. Grace Melinda Shaffer, 78, Stoystown RD 3, died Oct. 4, 1981, at
  Windber Hospital.  Born April 23, 1903, Quemahoning Township, daughter
  of Josiah and Rachel (Eash) Blough.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Lloyd A.; six sisters; and three brothers.  Survived by
  these children:  Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Berkebile, Stoystown RD 3; Clair
  of Quecreek; Melvin and Merle, both of Hollsopple RD 1; Floyd of
  Hooversville RD 1; Mrs. Paul (Rachel) Miller, Windber; Mrs. David
  (Eva) Manges of Washington, W.Va.; Mrs. Charles (Thelma) Tyler of
  Kansas, Okla.; Lloyd Jr. of Fulton Del.; Ralph of Manasses, Va.; 37
  grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.  Member of Sugar Grove
  Brethren Church, Blough.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.
  Monday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown.  Remains will be removed at noon to Sugar Grave Brethren
  Church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m.
  Wednesday, with the Rev. Elvin L. Holsopple officiating.  Interment,
  Berkey Cemetery.
