  Harold W. "Buddy" Shaffer, 46, Hollsopple RD 1, died Jan. 4, 1976,
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 23, 1929, in Ralphton, son of
  Cloyd A. and Margaret (Gray) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by one infant
  son, Rodney Wayne, Jan.31, 1954, and three infant brothers.  Survived
  by parents, Hooversville RD 1;  widow, the former Doris Jean Kline,
  and these children:  Donna, wife of David Cramer, Rockwood RD 3;
  Martin, Tracey, and Joyce, all at home.  A brother of Catherine, wife
  of Raymond Stitz, Ellicott City, Md.; Audrey Bonitz, Somerset RD 2;
  Alice, wife of Richard Stayrook, Berlin RD 1; Mary Jane, wife of
  Merle Miller, Severn, Md.; James Sr., married to Donna Rose,
  Hollsopple RD 1; Esther, wife of John Pluta, Hollywood, Fla.; Glenn,
  married to Donna Schompert, Largo, Fla.; and Patricia, wife of Ronald
  Moskey, Jennerstown.  Member of Hopewell United Steelworkers of
  America.  Former employe of Franklin Open Hearth Division, Bethlehem
  Steel Corp., Johnstown.  U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.  Friends
  received after 7 p.m. Monday (today) at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral
  Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Wednesday.  Interment, Maple Springs Cemetery.  Graveside military
  rites by Boswell American Legion, Post 461.
