HERMAN L. SHAFFER

  Herman L. Shaffer, aged 75, died Tuesday evening at his home near Somerset, 
following an illness of several months of a complication of diseases.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida (Ogline) Shaffer, and these children:  Mrs. 
Ralph Weighley, of Berlin; Mrs. Arthur Stahl, of Somerset R.D.; Earl, Garwood, 
Denver and Annabelle, all at home.  He was a brother of Cyrus Shaffer, of 
Somerset, and Benjamin Shaffer, of Illinois.
  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the 
Evangelical Church at Husband.  Interment will be in the Weller Cemetery, in 
charge of Charles R. Hauger, Somerset mortician.
