HOMER C. SHAFFER

  Homer C. Shaffer died at the County Home Hospital, Monday, June 24, at the age 
of 26 years, 4 months and 15 days.  He was confined to the County Home two years 
and four months due to epilepsy, the cause of his death.
  He is survived by his mother, Nora Slayton Shaffer, three brothers, Hunter, 
Meyersdale, R.D. 1; Walter, Manse, and Lee, at home; also three sisters, Mrs. 
Elsie Limos, at home; Mrs. Sylvia Miller, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Clara Ash, of 
Garrett.  His father, Nathaniel Shaffer, preceeded him in death.
  Services were held at his home, Meyersdale, R.D. 1, at two o'clock this 
(Thursday) afternoon, Rev. Lear, pastor of the Glade City Church of God, was 
officiating minister.  Interment was made in the Union Cemetery under the 
direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician.
