  SHAFFER
  
    James I. Shaffer, Sr., 60, of Hollsopple RD 1, died Aug. 1, 1995,
  in Addison.  Born March 30, 1935, in Boswell, son of Cloyd and
  Margaret (Gray) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by parents, one sister,
  two brothers.  Survived by a wife, the former D. Jean Rose, and these
  children: Dona Jean, at home; James I. Jr., married to the former
  Melissa Claycomb of Kansas; Belinda Bittner, Boswell; Margaret
  Trobino, Alabama; James Allen, Boswell; Donald Ray, Cairnbrook;
  Robert William, Alabama; Melissa Phillippi, Boswell; 13
  grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  Brother of Audrey Bonitz
  of Somerset RD 2, Alice Stayrook of Berlin, Mary Jane Miller of
  Delaware, Esther Pluta and Glenn Shaffer, both of Florida.  Member of
  St. Thomas Lutheran Church.  Death breaks marriage union of 24
  years.  Former employee of Firestone Heavy Equipment, M.F. Fetterolf
  Coal Company, Long Air Dox.  Also owner and operator of Shaffer
  Trucking.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc.,
  Davidsville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Elvin
  Holsopple.  Interment, Stoystown Odd Fellows Cemetery.
