    Leora Irene "Sis" Shaffer, 57, Baltimore, MD; formerly of
  Grantsville, MD, died Saturday, June 16, 1990, at Church Home
  Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
    Born Sept. 16, 1932, in Jennings, MD; she was the daughter of the
  late Lloyd and Celia (Wilt) Bittinger.
    She was a home-maker and a member of the Church of God.
    Surviving are her husband, Homer C. Shaffer Sr.; two sons, Homer C.
  Shaffer Jr., Grantsville, MD; and Richard E. Shaffer, Baltimore, MD;
  three daughters, Sharon S. Pietrowski, Debra L. Quinones and Anna
  Marie Hensley, all of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Wilbert Bittinger
  and Lloyd Bittinger Jr., both of Grantsville, MD; three sisters,
  Pauline Handwerk and Beulah Ross, both of Grantsville, MD; and Alice
  Kaiser, Cleveland, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, MD,
  where services were conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. George
  Plants.  Interment, Bittinger Cemetery.
