  SHAFFER
  
  Leroy E. Shaffer, 68, of Jones Mills, died Feb. 27, 1981, in
  Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  Born Sept. 17, 1912, in Mt.
  Pleasant Township, son of the late Josiah D. and Adah (Foust)
  Shaffer.  Survived by his widow, the former Leona Bruner, and these
  children: Mrs. Grant (Fae) Forney, and Dean, both of Markleton RD 1;
  five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Brother of Alvie of
  Champion RD 1; Mrs. Irene Blystone of Mt. Pleasant RD 5; Mrs. Carl
  (Josephine) Wilkins, Darlington, Pa.  Preceded in death by four
  sisters.  Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church; he served for 30 years
  as forest fire warden in Westmoreland County.  Friends are being
  received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will
  be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Walter Startzel
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
