  SHAFFER
  
    Lois Jean Shaffer, 70, of Bridge Street, Rockwood, went to be with
  the Lord Dec. 24, 1998, at her residence.  Born Nov. 22, 1928, in
  Rockwood, daughter of the late Wilbur H. and Julia A. (Benford)
  Swarner.  Survived by husband Walter Shaffer Jr., and three children:
  Kenneth W., married to the former Jolinda Henry; Stephen W.; and
  daughter Robin, all of Rockwood; two grandchildren, Kristen Jo and
  Michael S. Shaffer.  Sister of: Mrs. Walter (Anna Mae) Snyder,
  Rockwood; Mrs. Jack (Wanda) Kalp, Jones Mills; Mrs. Donald (Karen)
  Walker, Rockwood; and Melvin L. Lasure, Quakertown.  Death terminates
  a marriage of 46 years.  Member of Rockwood Church of The Brethren. 
  She was a retired custodian at Rockwood Area Schools.  Friends will
  be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at Miller Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday. 
  Rev. Jay Christner officiating.  Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Rockwood Church of
  The Brethren, 600 W. Main St., Rockwood, Pa. 15557.
