  SHAFFER
  
    Mamie A. Shaffer, 89, of Central City, died Jan. 28, 2000.  Born
  May 4, 1910, in Ogletown, the daughter of Lemuel and Louisa (Hamer)
  Dixon.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Frank, daughter-in-law
  Joan, great-grandson Michael, six brothers and six sisters.  Survived
  by son, Denton of Georgia; granddaughters, Elaine Beggs of Georgia and
  Lynn Murgia of Virginia; great-grandsons Mathew and Mark Murgia and
  great-granddaughters Emily and Anna Beggs.  Sister of Iva Livengood
  of West Virginia.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
  Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, and from 10 a.m. until the time
  of service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Graef Evangelical Lutheran Church,
  Cairnbrook.  Pastor James McCormick.  Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.
