  MARGARET B. SHAFFER
  
    Margaret B. Shaffer, 74, formerly of Hooversville RD 1, died April
  6, 1981, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
    She was born Aug. 20, 1906, in Wellersburg, Somerset County, and
  was a daughter of John and Maude (Starr) Gray.  She was preceded in
  death by parents, three infant sons, and son, Harold W. "Buddy," who
  died Jan. 4, 1976, and several brothers.  She is survived by husband,
  Cloyd A.; and these children: Catherine, wife of Raymond Stitz,
  Ellicott City, Md.; Audrey Bonitz, Somerset RD 2; Alice, wife of
  Richard Stayrook, Berlin RD 1; Mary Jane, wife of Merle Miller,
  Baltimore, Md.; James Sr., married to the former Donna Rose,
  Hollsopple RD 1; Esther Pluta, Lauderhill, Fla.; Glenn, married to
  the former Donna Schompert, Largo, Fla.; Patricia, wife of Ronald
  Moskey, Jennerstown; 38 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. 
  She was a sister of Sylvester "Bud," Latrobe; Thomas and Leroy, both
  of Baltimore; Clyde, Orlando, Fla.; and Shirley, Salisbury, Md.  She
  was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville.  Had
  celebrated 57th wedding anniversary March 19, 1981.  She recently
  resided at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate, Somerset.
    Friends were received at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell.
    Services were held at Trinity Church, Hooversville, with the Rev.
  Gerald Myers and the Rev. Alan Wilson officiating.  Interment
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Stoystown.
