Shaffer, 88, of Higginsville, Mo., formerly of Somerset, who died March 11, 2002, will be remembered in a memorial service at 2 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2002, at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Rev. Edward V. DeVore will officiate. Mary was born May 5, 1913, in Madera, daughter of Harry and Edith (Crain) Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George E. in 1985; sisters, Alice Holtzendorff, Deloris Page and Bernice Pile; and brothers Aaron and Edward Fitzgerald. Survived by a daughter, Joan, married to Telford Boyer of Odessa, Mo.; twin sons, William B., married to the former Shirley Miller and Robert A., married to the former Nancy Ramsell, both of Friedens; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
