MARY JANE SHAFFER

  Mrs. Mary Jane Shaffer, widow of Percy Shaffer, died Sunday, May 16, at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Cassen, in Wellersburg.  She was 76 years of 
age, the daughter of Henry Knepp and Susanna Baker Knepp, both deceased.  
Besides the daughter with whom she lived she is survived by Mrs. Susan Jennewine 
of Cumberland, Md., and one son, Victor Shaffer of Wellersburg; also by two 
grandchildren, John and Mary Cassen, and by one brother, Lewis Knepp, of Deal.  
She was a member of the Lutheran Church, Wellersburg, where funeral services 
were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, by the pastor, Walter B. Simons.  
Interment in the church cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were in charge of 
Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman.
