  MILLARD G. SHAFFER
  
    Millard Gilbert Shaffer, 82, of Hyndman RD 1, died Jan. 24, 1974,
  in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.  Born in Hyndman, he was a son of
  the late Michael and Anne (Close) Shaffer.
    A retired farmer, he was a charter member of Hyndman Grange 1954.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Kate Reese; two daughters, Mrs.
  Martha Cook and Mrs. Lena Arnold, and a son, Wayne Shaffer, all of
  Hyndman RD 1; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy
  DeVore, Cumberland RD 1; and Mrs. Datha Burkett, Manns Choice RD 1.
    Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman, with Rev. James Ryan officiating.  Interment in Hyndman
  Cemetery.
