  Patrick William Shaffer, 30, of Friedens, died Oct. 20, 2002 in
  Jenner Township in an automobile accident along with his borther. 
  Born June 15, 1972 in Somerset, son of Richard Burkett of Bedford and
  Cherry (Shaffer) Benedict and fiance Thomas E. Turner of Friedens. 
  Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Richard and Blanche
  Burkett and step-grandfather John Gaal Jr., an aunt Susan Hughes and
  uncle Floyd Robert Conn.  Survived by his wife, the former Jolene Rae
  Baker; daughters Heidi Wynn, Josie Rannaye, and Elizabeth Marie;
  stepfather John E. Gaal, of Somerset; sister Stacey Gindlesperger, of
  Berlin; half-brother Bowie Nathaniel Gaal of Hustontown; maternal
  grandparents Lewis R. Shaffer Sr. and wife Goldie and Sara (Snyder),
  married to Junior Dneaster, all of Somerset; step-grandmother
  Florence Westerman of Berlin; aunts Cathy Duvall and Lenora Patrick
  and uncles Lewis R. Shaffer Jr. and William Westerman Jr.  He
  attended Somerset High School.  Former manager of Rentway Inc., of
  Somerset.  He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and
  brothers.  He was an avid car buff and hunter.  Family will received
  friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown.  Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Wednesday
  at Somerset Christian Fellowship.  Rev. William J. Dodson,
  officiating.  Interment, Mizpah Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers
  contributions may be given to his family to assist with his
  children's education costs.
