Born Oct. 30, 1900, in Paint Borough, son of Daniel and Marilla (Toomey) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; brother, D. Floyd; and sisters, Agnes Nipps and Elizabeth Lochrie. Survived by widow, former Grace Gohn; son, Paul Jr.; two grandchildren, Jerry D. and Patricia Ann Tresise; and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Nora Hoffman, Mayme Rose, Chester Toomey and George Toomey. Owner of Shaffer Printing Co., Windber. Member of Windber Church of Brethren; Lodge 538, F. & A. M., Johnstown; Williamsport Consistory; and Sons of American Revolution. Vice president of board of directors of Windber Museum. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hugh W.
