  SHAFFER
  
  Robert E. Shaffer, 42, Confluence RD 3, died April 5, 1984, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 4, 1942, in Johnstown, a son
  of James and Leora (Hay) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by his father. 
  Surviving are his wife, Ada Faye (Hilliard) Shaffer; his mother;
  grandmother, Margaret Hay, Sipesville; two sons, Patrick Shaffer and
  Daniel Shaffer; a stepdaughter, Barbara Hilliard; and a stepson,
  Larry Hilliard, all at home; one sister, Jo Ann Stayrook, Enterprise,
  Ala.; three brothers, Ken, Bill, and Roger, all of Sipesville; and a
  half-sister, Betty Schilling, Somerset.  Friends will be received
  after 7 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, and from
  10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday.  Funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30
  p.m. with the Rev. Roy C. Bowers officiating.  Interment, Maple
  Summit Cemetery.

  Robert E. Shaffer, 42, Confluence RD 3, who died April 5 at Somerset
  Community Hospital, is also survived by a brother, Lynn Shaffer of
  Daleville, Ala.  Mr. Shaffer's complete obituary was printed in
