  ROY SHAFFER
  
    Roy Shaffer, 91, of Hyndman, died December 4, 1983 in Penn Knoll
  Village, Bedford.
    Born in Hyndman on March 4, 1892, he was a son of the late William
  Epsy Shaffer and Ida Belle (Rush) Shaffer.  He was preceded in death
  by his wife, Ruth G. (Wassum) Shaffer on Aug. 10, 1944.
    A lifelong resident of Hyndman, he was a retired carpenter with the
  B & O Railroad and member of Grace United Methodist Church.
    Surviving are three sons, Roy Carl Shaffer, Pittsburgh; Richard
  Earl Shaffer and Robert G. Shaffer, both of Hyndman RD 1; two
  daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Devore, Hyndman; and Mrs. Phyliss Jane
  McWilliams, Jay, OK; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received in the Harvey A. Zeigler Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Loyal Kelso officiatng. 
  Interment was in Hyndman Cemetery.
