  RUTH M. SHAFFER
  
    Ruth M. Shaffer, 95, of Hyndman RD 1, died Thursday, July 27, 1989,
  at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Leister, Bedford RD 7, where
  she had lived for two years.
    Born March 16, 1894, in Pleasantville, she was the daughter of the
  late David W. and Mary E. (Buchanan) McGregor.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Z. Shaffer, in 1964.
    She was a homemaker and a co-operator of the I. Z. Shaffer Dairy
  Farm.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church,
  Hyndman, the Hyndman Grange #1954 and the Hyndman WCTU.
    Surviving in addition to her daughter are two sons:  F. Paul
  Shaffer and Edgar J. Shaffer, both of Hyndman; two daughters:  Miss
  Regina E. McGregor and Mrs. Mabel C. Baker, both of Hyndman; 17
  grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three
  great-great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman, where services were conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. by the
  Rev. Dennis A. Fetter.  Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were grandsons:  John Baker, Lawrence Shaffer, Kenneth
  Shaffer, Paul Leister, John Leister and Stuart Shaffer.
