  SHAFFER
  
  Stanley R. Shaffer, 71, of Oak St., Somerset, died Jan. 12, 1982, at
  his residence.  Born May 24, 1910, in Somerset Township, a son of the
  late Albert and Blanche (McQuade) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by
  parents, four brothers and two sisters.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Alameda Tirko; a daughter, Nancy, wife of Victor Latuch,
  Somerset RD 5; three grandchildren; and three brothers:  Albert,
  Miami, Fla.; Merle, Acosta; and Fred, Somerset RD 5.  Friends will be
  received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where service will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev.
  Paul W. Douglass Sr. officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.
