  TOLVA SHAFFER
  
    Tolva M. Shaffer, 85, of Hyndman RD 1, died Monday, June 8, 1987,
  at her home.
    Born in Hyndman April 30, 1902, she was a daughter of the late
  George and Emma (Holler) Miller.
    She was a member of Grace United Methodist Chirch.  Her husband,
  Lloyd E. Shaffer, died April 6, 1961.
    Surviving are three sons, L. Vernon Shaffer, Hyndman; Ray L.
  Shaffer, Hyndman RD 1:  Arden L. Shaffer, with whom she resided; five
  daughters, Mrs. Irene Dunbar, Edenton, N.C.; Mrs. Philomene Bonner, at
  home, and Mrs. Mary E. Shaffer, Mrs. Jean McCoy and Mrs. Winifred
  Christner, all of Hyndman RD 1; one brother, Richard A. Miller,
  Hyndman RD 1; one sister, Mrs. Clara Reckley, Homewood Addition,
  Cumberland, Md., 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received in the Harvey H. Weigler Funeral Home where
  services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Leroy
  Logsdon.
    Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
    Grandsons were pallbearers.
