  SHAFFER
  
    Toylie Zola Shaffer, 100, Hooversville RD 1, died March 30, 1998,
  at Church of the Brethren Home, Windber.  Born Sept. 10, 1897 in Fort
  Hill, daughter of Peter and Victoria (McClintock) Snyder.  Preceded in
  death by parents; husband, Wilbert; son, Glenn; 3 brothers and 8
  sisters.  Survived by these children:  Gary, married to the former
  Millie Engle, Stoystown; Joan, at home; Janet, married to Robert
  Taylor, Beaver Falls; Robert Hay, married to the former Shirley
  Schmuck, Grantsville, Md.; Emmie, married to Thomas Costa, Windber;
  17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; and 3
  step great-grandchildren.  Devoted wife, mother, grandmother,
  great-grandmother and sister.  She was a school teacher prior to her
  marriage and she, along with her husband, worked a dairy farm in
  Quemahoning Township for over 50 years.  Member of Hooversville
  Church of the Brethren for 80 years.  Family will receive friends
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. 
  Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at
  Hooversville Church of the Brethren, Reverends Douglas M. Diamond and
  Harry W. Bassett.  Interment, Berkey Cemetery.  Memorial contributions
  may be given to the Church of the Brethren Home Windber, Pa., 15963.
