  MRS. RICHARD SHAFFER
  
    Mrs. Vietta M. Shaffer, 56, of Hyndman, formerly of Meyersdale,
  died June 15, 1975, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, after a
  lengthy illness.
    Born in Meyersdale, Sept. 11, 1918, she was a daughter of the late
  Frank H. and Margaret (Shultz) Taylor.
    She was a member of Hyndman United Methodist Church and Bedford
  Springs Chapter 41, Order of Eastern Star.
    Surviving are her husband, Richard E. Shaffer; a son, Richard T.
  Shaffer, Hyndman; a daughter, Mrs. Julia Freeland, LaVale, Md.; and a
  granddaughter, Amy Freeland.
    Funeral service was conducted at Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman,
  Tuesday morning, with Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating.  Interment in
  Hyndman Cemetery.
