Shaffer, 83, of Lincoln Township, died August 11, 2001 at Somerset Hospital. Born March 16, 1918 in Lincoln Township, she is the daughter of the late Lorenza and Edith (Baker) Baker. Also preceded in death by sisters, Edna Shockey, Elizabeth Lehman and Ruby McCusker and a brother, Clinton. Survived by husband, Lester Shaffer, children, Mrs. Darrel (Ethel) Henry of Stoystown, Robert Shaffer of Somerset, and Clarence Shaffer, married to the former Sharon Henry of Somerset. Also seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Stanley (Iva Dean) O'Kinsky of Somerset. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bethany United Methodist Church with Pastor Barry K. Ritenour officiating. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. There will be viewing at the church from noon until time of service. Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 116 S.
