  SHAFFER
  
    Wilbur E. "Poss" Shaffer, 54, of Meyersdale RD 4 died July 6, 1994,
  at Conemaugh hospital, Johnstown.  Born June 29, 1940, in
  Meyersdale.  A son of Hulda Jane (Wilt) Shaffer, Meyersdale RD 4, and
  the late Walter Arthur Shaffer.  Also survived by his wife, the former
  Frances J. LaRue, and these children:  Tammy Beeman, Somerset; Jodie
  and Courtney Shaffer, both at home.  A brother of James R., Dewey A.,
  George W., Hulda M. Sturtz, Clara M. Lottig, and Carlen S. Miller, all
  of Meyersdale RD 4; Charles E., Shaft, Md.; Orval L., Meyersdale RD 3,
  and Connie J. Van Gilder, Berlin RD 1.  He was an avid hunter and
  fisherman.  Employed by Croner, Inc. as a mechanic.  Friends will be
  received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
  at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be
  conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Pastor William Davis
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
