  WALLIS R. SHANER
  
    Wallis Russell Shaner, 83, of Mount Pleasant Road, died Saturday,
  Nov. 30, 1985, at the Cumberland Nursing Home.
    Born March 13, 1902, in Rogersford, he was the son of the late
  Wallis Shaner and Stella (Bush) Shaner.  He was preceded in death by
  two wives, Ruth Viola (Hoover) Shaner and Bernice (Screen) Shaner.
    He was a retired linotype operator with the Times and Alleganian
  Company, and a member of Typographical Union local 244.  He attended
  Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
    He is survived by his widow, Mildred Grace (White) Shaner,
  Cumberland, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara McKenzie, Meyersdale RD;
  one son, Harold R. Shaner, Cumberland; two stepsons, Martin White and
  David White, both of Cumberland; and six grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services
  were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Elenore Diggs.
    Interment, Rose Hill Cemetery.
