Shanholtz, 92, of Meyersdale died April 8, 2001 at Beverly Healthcare, Meyersdale. Born June 30, 1908 in Baltimore, Md. A daughter of the late Irvin and Olive Yingling. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar and three grandchildren: Edwind Lawing, Karen Sue Lawing and Daniel Luther LaRue. Surviving are a son, Kent Shanholtz and wife Joyce of Darlington, Md.; two daughters, Nancy LaRue and husband Philip of Meyersdale, and Betty Lark of Dundalk, Md.; a sister Ruth Roberts of New Oxford; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shanholtz was a member of the Grace Brethren Church, Meyersdale. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. She will then be taken to the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church at 10 a.m. to lie in state until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Randy Haulk officiating.
