Shank, 91, formerly of Windber, died Jan. 25, 2002, at the home of her son in Nicktown. Born July 23, 1910 in Windber, daughter of the late Otto Webster and Esther Mary (Topper) Brown. Preceded in death by husband, Lloyd C. Shank, sisters Hazel and Mildred, and brother William Harold Brown. Survived by son, Lloyd Robert, married to the former Susan Broskey, Nicktown; grandchildren, Robert Joel, married to the former Lori Moschgat, and Diana Catherine, wife of Billy Ray Best; four step-grandchildren; great-grandson Joshua; and three step great-grandchildren. Sister of Ralph Webster Brown, Mich., and Thelma Louise Lewis, of Florida. Member of Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church. Member of Johnstown Chapter OES where she was the first past matron. With her husband, Nora had been involved with running the family business, the former Lloyd G. Shank Funeral Home in Windber. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at the Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church, the Rev. Arthur T. Moffat Jr., officiating.
