Born Aug. 3, 1919 in Windber, son of George and May (Frazier) Shank. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Esther Marie Stutzman, son Gary and brother John Edward. Survived by these children: Lois married to Charles Showman of Indiana, and Wayne, married to the former Dolores Bud of Milford, Mich., seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Mary Louise Baumgardner of Winter Haven, Fla. He was a World War II Army veteran. Received his doctorate from Logan Basic College of Chiropractic. Former owner of Shank Chiropractic Clinic, Shanksville. Member of Shanksville United Methodist Church and National Chiropractic Association. A 46-year member of Shanksville American Legion Post 911, and former member of the Stoystown Lions Club. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Ronald Emery and Rev. Marlin Miller officiating.
