  Rhoda Louise Shannon of Somerset, died Nov. 30, 2003, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 30, 1919, in Rochester, N.Y., daughter of R.
  Bruce and Charlotte (Anderson) Archey.  She is preceded in death by
  her parents; husband, Robert Clyde Shannon, president of DeVilbiss
  Medical Products Division, who died Jan. 28, 1995.  She is survived
  by her sister, Marilyn (William) Evans of West End, N.C.; two nieces,
  Peggy (Mark) White of Darnestown, Md., Sandra Morse of Frederick, Md.,
  and three nephews, Richard B. (Barbara) Evans of Skaneateles, N.Y.,
  Robert W. (Barbara) Lehmann of Fort Wayne, Ind. and George D. (Nancy)
  Lehmann III of Perrysburg, Ohio.  A 1942 graduate of Miami University
  in Oxford, Ohio, Rhoda was active in the Girl Scouts where she served
  as Scout Leader and chairman of the nominating committee on the Talus
  Rock Girl Scout Council.  She was past president of the Somerset
  Welfare League and member of the Somerset Garden Club.  Trinity
  Lutheran Church was an important part of Rhoda's life where she
  served on the congregation council and various committees.  A
  memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel
  of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover
  and the Rev. Susan H. Yatta officiating.  Private Interment Somerset
  County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran
  Church, 918 Tayman Avenue, Somerset, Pa. 15501 or Girl Scouts Talus
  Rock Council, 612 Locust St., Johnstown, Pa. 15901 or to the charity
