  Amanda Alverta Shaulis, 77, Hollsopple RD 1, died April 17, 1982, at
  home.  Born April 12, 1905, in Shade Township, Somerset County,
  daughter of Robert and Amanda B. (Walter) Zimmerman.  Preceded in
  death by parents; husband, Calvin Franklin, who died Oct. 23, 1980;
  daughter, Marjorie Helen; sister, Mrs. Annie Landis; and brother,
  Charles.  Survived by these children:  Conrad, married to former
  Isabel Fern, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Ruth, wife of Ray L. Rittenour,
  Sarasota, Fla.; Ann Simpson, Hollsopple RD 1; Robert, married to
  former Cory Allwes, Manassas, Va.; seven grandchildren; one
  great-grandchild; brother, Eugene Zimmerman, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.;
  and sister-in-law, Ruth Zimmerman, Westmont, Johnstown.  Member of
  Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, and Jenner Grange No.
  1661.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and until noon
  Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, when
  body will be transferred to Laurel Trinity Church to lie in state
  from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., the Rev. Jesse E.
  Wolf.  Interment, St. James Cemetery.  No viewing at church. 
  Donations to the Hospice Unit, care of Windber Hospital, would be
  appreciated.
