  SHAULIS
  
  E. Meade Shaulis, 82, Somerset, died Oct. 5, 2002, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born July 2, 1920 in Jefferson Township, son of Elmer E.
  and Millie Grace (Bodes) Shaulis.  Preceded in death by parents and
  brother, Bodes Shaulis.  Survived by wife, the former Pauline Jean
  Miller, to whom he was married 55 years; children, Mrs. Luke
  (Deborah) Rouch of Somerset, and Douglas M. Shaulis, married to the
  former Cathy Gross of Somerset; grandchildren, Megan and Matthew
  Rouch and Drew and Chelsea Shaulis; sister, Mrs. Ferne Buttermore of
  Somerset; and sister-in-law, Lois V. Shaulis of Somerset.  A 1939
  graduate of Somerset High School.  A U.S. Army veteran of World War
  II.  Worked as a farmer for many years in Jefferson Township.  Member
  of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville.  Friends received from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. 
  Visitation also from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mt.
  Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville.  Rev. Elisa A. Osman
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
