Shaulis, 77, of Lincoln Highway, Stoystown died June 4, 2002 at V.A. Medical Center, Altoona. Born March 21, 1925 in Stoystown, son of Ira D. and Ursula (Naugle) Shaulis. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Marguerite Berkebile, and brother Robert. Survived by these brothers and sisters: Warren married to the former Ellen L. Blough of Friedens; Kenneth married to the former Frances Appleman, and Paul married to the former Anna Mae Manges, both of Davidsville; Evelyn Gilbert of Irwin, Elsie Zinovenko, Dorothy Shaulis, and Jane married to Rev. William Snyder, all of Stoystown. Also numerous nieces and nephews. A 1947 graduate of Stoystown High School and graduate of Thompson Business College of York. World War II Army Veteran having received the Purple Heart. Retired from First National Bank, Stoystown. Member of Horner Lutheran Church, and Robert P. Hite Post 257 American Legion, Stoystown. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Kathleen Kuehl officiating.
