Shaulis, 69, of Meyersdale, died Oct. 6, 1983, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1914, in Boynton, daughter of the late Milton and Celia (Garlitz) Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Shaulis. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cecile Flick, Somerset RD 8; two step-sons: Wayne Shaulis, Rockwood RD 1; and Douglas Shaulis, Somerset RD 7; two step-daughters: Mrs. Dolores Miller, Somerset RD 2; and Mrs. Alice Rainey, Oklawaha, Fla.; three sisters: Mrs. Iva Vought, Berlin; Mrs. June Shoemaker, Salisbury; and Mrs. Doris D'Este, Meyersdale; two brothers: Colonel Bowman, Salisbury; Grant Bowman, West Salisbury; also four grandchildren; one great-grandson; 11 step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. A graveside memorial service was held at Somerset County Memorial Park with the Rev. Lloyd T. Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements were in charge of the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. The Republic, October 13, 1983 [S1143]
