Shaulis, 77, of RD 1, Stahlstown, Pa., formerly of RD 6, Somerset, died Tuesday morning at his late home. Born Dec. 13, 1897, in Cook Township, Westmoreland County, son of the late William and Rebecca Kunkle Shaulis. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and a World War I veteran. Survived by his wife, Ella Sleason Shaulis; 8 children, Mrs. Paul (Bessie) Ross, RD 1, Stahlstown; Walter, Acosta; Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Darby, Connellsville; Miss Linda Shaulis, Acosta; Mrs. D. J. (Gertrude) Nicholson, Normalville; Mrs. Melvin (Ada) Dunmire, Acosta; Mrs. Robert (Viola) Barkman, Rockwood; Thomas, RD 1, Stahlstown; 32 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clell and Roy, Jones Mill. The family is receiving friends at the L. Boyd Snyder Funeral Home at Sthalstown [sic] 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev.
