Born April 13, 1923, in Somerset. Son of the late Irvin Ernest and Grace Idella (Davis) Shaulis. Preceded in death by 2 brothers: Wayne R. Shaulis and William J.B. Shaulis. Survived by wife, Betty Ellen (Yates) Danner-Shaulis, to whom he was married for 18 years, and daughters: Mrs. Ronald (Kathy) Pellegrino, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Ray (Jody) Shaver, Troy, Mich.; stepsons: Douglas E. Danner, North Edgecomb, Maine, and Steven L. Danner, North Anson, Maine. Also 5 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. Brother of Vernon D. Shaulis, Bethany, W.Va.; Ernest R. Shaulis, Somerset RD 7; Mrs. Ona Baker, Somerset, and Mrs. Jay R. (Marlene) Deaner Jr., Stoystown RD 1. Florida service representative for Monarch Marking Machines of Dayton, Ohio, retiring in 1989. World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the South Pacific and had received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Life member of VFW Post 554. Member of American Legion Post 181, Lodge 358 F.& A.M., and the Pittsburgh Consistory. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Joseph Beer and the Rev.
