Shaulis, 64, Rochester, Pa., formerly of Somerset, died May 30, 1988, in a medical center in Beaver. Born Feb. 29, 1924, in Somerset, son of the late Homer and Lottie (Tipton) Shaulis. Survived by wife, Mary Frances Kemp Shaulis; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Gale Shaulis, Moon Township; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Higgs, Ohioville, Pa., and Mrs. Thomas (Sandra) Holmes, Rochester; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Max (Shirley) Douglass, Sipesville. Preceded in death by sister, Beatrice Miller and two brothers, LeRoy and Donald. Retired electrician, working with the J and L Steel Corp., Aliquippa Works. World War II U.S. Army veteran. Member of CIO local 1211 and First United Methodist Church, Rochester. Funeral service will be Thursday (today) at 1 p.m. in the Huntsman Funeral Home, 502 Adams St., Rochester, the Rev. Dr. Glen B.
