Shaulis, 60, of 404 Sherman Street, Meyersdale, died Sept. 29, 1975, at his residence. Born June 23, 1915, in Bakersville, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Bessie (Barndt) Shaulis. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, the fomrer Mary Zerfoss, a daughter, a brother and a sister. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Shaulis was a retired employe of the Western Maryland Railroad Company and was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice (Vena) Staub; two sons, Wayne R. Shaulis of Butler, and Melvin Eric, Meyersdale; two daughters, Mrs. Verl (Judy Ann) Bittner Jr., Glencoe RD 1, and Mrs. Sandra Best, Beaver Falls; also five grandchildren; a brother, Telford Shaulis, Doylestown; and three sisters, Mrs. John Leslie, Somerset; Mrs. Ralph Bowman, Boynton, and Mrs. Victor Berkebile, Perkasie (Bucks County). Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock this (Thursday) morning in Leckemby-Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with Rev. Harold A. Appel officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
